Hip and Groin Injuries

Hip & groin injuries are common to a wide variety of sporting activities especially running or activities that involve change of direction or kicking. The injuries are caused by strains of local muscles, tendons & ligaments due to overuse or local weakness but are often due to imbalances in the lumbo-pelvic region & SIJ issues. It is important to correctly identify the structures that are injured as well as the imbalances that resulted in the injury to adequately treat but also to strengthen the region & prevent repeated injuries. With our experience in treating SIJ & lumbo-pelvic problems we can confidently treat these injuries but also provide programs of corrective exercise & strengthening to prevent re-injury of hip & groin injuries.
