Bio

Cathy has over 20 years of experience as a qualified massage therapist providing Remedial Massage, Aromatherapy and Reflexology. Cathy has worked in diverse clinical settings alongside osteopaths and chiropractors, in private practice, in hospital with oncology and palliative care.
In 2011 Cathy became interested in lymphoedema management, drawing on progressive study under the Dr Vodder International School of Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy. It has become a passion of hers in assisting clients to improve their lymphatic health and wellbeing.

What is Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)

MLD is a low rhythmical, and pain free massage technique on the skin, as well as fascial layers to stimulate the lymph vessels to promote lymph flow and fluid balance in the body.
MLD treatment has the following benefits:

• Reduce swelling/haematoma (acute injuries, post-surgery)
• Relieving pain associated with inflammation (Frozen shoulder, Osteoarthritis)
