Bio

Julie graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland. She has over 20 years clinical experience in hospitals, private practice, and has been part of the Spinal Synergy team since 2016. Julie also has 6 years of international working experience in a leading physiotherapy clinic/Pilates studio in Hong Kong where she has developed a special expertise in hip and pelvic pain along with Women’s Health.

Julie uses a whole-body approach when treating a full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions focusing on alignment, body biomechanics, intrinsic stability, as well as strength resistance training.

Clinical Interest

Julie has become a ConnectTherapy™ series graduate after extensive training with Dr Linda-Joy Lee International Institute for Physiotherapy & Movement. In addition, She is a dma Clinical Pilates clinician, Dr Vodder’s Manual Lymphatic Drainage practitioner, as well as a certified Kinetic Link Training (KLT) coach for exercise rehabilitation.

Julie uses the Thoracic Ring Approach™ and ConnectTherapy™ models assessing the whole body treating the root cause of movement dysfunction that contribute to injuries and pain. With her hands-on skills and experience in exercise rehab, the journey of recovery will focus on alignment/posture correction; redefine movement pattern, intrinsic (core muscle) control, and physical wellbeing.

She is available for one on one or semi-private coaching including clinical Pilates, strength, and resistance training for people from all walks of life.

Women’s Health

Being a mother of two teenagers, Julie personally knows how the body changes during pregnancy, after birth and beyond. She is passionate in helping woman to understand and regain control of their bodies during pregnancy, after birth, and menopause.

Interests

The journey of bringing up our children and keeping a work-life balance is always challenging for a working mum. What are your interests outside of work?

For Julie, she enjoys cooking as a “pretend Master Chef”. Adding a little passion and love for every dish is the key to success. During her off cooking time, Julie loves hiking, coastal walks, as well as playing golf & eating expeditions to Hong Kong.
